Wildfires Are Forcing First Nations from Their Homes at Alarming Rates

Since mid-May, wildfires across Canada have scorched nearly 38,850 square kilometres, forcing around 40,000 people to evacuate. More than half of those displaced are from First Nations communities, says Indigenous Services Canada.
