Western Canada Glaciers Melting Twice as Fast as in Previous Decade, Study Finds

Researchers say climate change is draining glaciers like a shrinking savings account, with low snowfall, wildfire ash, and other factors contributing to the melt. “By doubling the water loss from these glaciers, we’re essentially stealing from the future,” says Brian Menounos, Canada Research Chair in Glacier Change.
