Danish Wind Energy Giant Ørsted Raises Billions from Shareholders to Cover Shortfall

Ørsted was struggling after the Trump administration’s anti-wind policies led to a stop-work order on one nearly completed project and made the sale of another U.S.-based project fall through. But “extraordinarily high” demand for new investment from existing shareholders has raised 60 billion kroner, or US$9.3 billion.
