A national climate resilience charity based in Canmore, Alberta spoke up after the Suncor Energy Foundation withdrew more than half of a three-year, $900,000 donation pledge with no notice, even though a lawyer warned the organization it would be “flying too close to the sun” if it told the story out loud.
